Does this sound familiar?
Experiences of shame and overwhelm.
Flashbacks of past memories or losses.
Patterns from religious trauma like guilt, shame and fear that continue to impact your daily life and relationships.
Feedback that your behavior is impacting someone and you can’t seem to figure out why or how to change it.
Experiencing distressing symptoms like a racing heart or panic attack.
Find yourself shutting down your emotions frequently.
Feel disconnected from your body and your emotions.
Fear of engaging past stories and experiences.
You don’t have to stay stuck there. We can create a new experience.
What would life look like if you began to feel free from the impact of past trauma?
When stress and trauma happen it can leave you stuck in the past and unable to move forward from that experience. That is where a body-based approach to healing your symptoms can be a powerful support, because both your mind and body were impacted by your past experiences.
By tapping into your body's wisdom, EMDR will help you reconnect with yourself, foster healthier relationships, and step into a more empowered and fulfilling life.
How EMDR Therapy Works:
Phase 1: Building Trust
We will work on building trust as I get to know you and your story. I will listen closely to places you feel stuck and where you are desiring change.
Phase 2: Preparing
You’ll learn how EMDR works and practice some simple techniques to help you feel calm during the process.
Phase 3: Memories
You’ll focus on a memory while your eyes follow my hand movement back and forth . This helps lessen the memory’s emotional weight.
Phase 4: Feel Hope
We will explore positive beliefs about yourself after working through difficult memories. This helps you feel more confident and hopeful.
You’ll Walk Away With:
Reduced Emotional Pain: A lighter emotional load related to past memories, making it easier to cope.
Increased Clarity: A better understanding of your experiences and how they affect your life.
Stronger Positive Beliefs: A newfound sense of self-worth and confidence.
Improved Coping Skills: Tools and strategies to manage stress and difficult emotions in the future.
Hope for the Future: A renewed sense of possibility and motivation to move forward in life.
